Elaine Marian Hinder

Our mum, Elaine, was a kind and gentle soul whose smile truly lit up a room. She was full of fun and laughter, and being around her always made people feel welcome and happy. She adored her four daughters, her beautiful grandchildren, and her husband and love of her life, Mark, who was always her rock.

Anyone who knew Elaine always has something lovely to say about her, which tells you everything about the wonderful person she was.

Elaine was born in 1954 and lived in Swansea all her life. She loved travelling to many countries with her husband Mark, but Swansea and its beautiful coastline were always home. As a teenager she often walked this coastal path with her best friend Sandra, and it always held a very special place in her heart. She told us that when the time came, she would love a bench here where people could sit, enjoy the view, and think of her.

If you're sitting here now, take a moment to pause, breathe in the sea air, and enjoy the view she loved.

Forever loved by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.

"TIME" by Elaine

Time travels by and it happens so fast, We take it for granted, even the past. Our humble beginnings, when we were all young. Our school days, our playmates the songs that we sung. Those days that we spent, with our parents back then. Those trips to the seaside won't happen again. Time doesn't stand still, it just carries on. Those days you remember, are now all gone. So treasure those thoughts of your mum and dad, Treasure the special times that you had. Look at your children, your grandchildren too. Those precious faces that look up to you. Love one another, don't bicker or fight. If there's a problem, then just put it right. We all make mistakes and regret things we've done, But that is a fact, that affects everyone. Live for today, with those you hold dear. And time can go on without any fear. Elaine Marian Hinder, 24th June 2013 7:58AM
